This year’s holiday collection from YSL Beauty has some of the most beautiful limited edition packaging. What I picked up was golden oasis couture face palette ($85) with new shades of Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil Gloss ($40) and candy glaze lip gloss stick ($43).

Three of the colors are shimmer highlighters and three are two shimmers and one matte blush. Among the recent blushes, YSL Make Me Blush Formula Soft, blendable textures and colors are best. Some of the colors are very similar to individual shades that I own. The peachy shimmer is similar to Restless Rose and the rose pink shimmer is very close to Nude Lavaliere.
The shades in this palette include soft peach gold shimmer, pale gold shimmer, pale iridescent pink sparkle, rose shimmer blush, deep magenta matte blush, and warm copper gold shimmer.
The highlighter is very shimmery, so if you can’t wear highly shimmery shades, I recommend choosing a different face palette.
i really love this. I think it has everything you need for a holiday look and I love that you can add glitter to your eyes too.
new holiday lip color
There are 2 new colors Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil Gloss 100 sparkling dreams and 12 honey moons. I tried these out earlier this year and reviewed them here. I love the color and shine, but the plumpness is extreme and the tingling and tingling feel is overwhelming for me. Although the colors are very beautiful, I still don’t feel comfortable wearing them on my lips, so I decided to try these again anyway. However, when layered over a lipstick, the lipstick underneath acts as a buffer, making the plumping gloss easier to use. I swatched all the shades in the video here.
as candy glaze I couldn’t be more excited that they launched a new shade with this particular formula (Original) Please review here). 21 Shimmer Nude is a beautiful pale milky champagne beige shade, but it makes my complexion look very pale. 22 Shimmer Rose is a must have in my opinion. The color is a very gentle rose pink. Although currently sold out online, we highly recommend using the buy online and pick up in store option. This is a great way to reserve products online and pick them up at your convenience. I also use it to see if my local store has it in stock before I go to the store in person. By popular request, we’ve done some comparisons with other rose tones and other candy glaze shades. I really love Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in 083 Sparkling Rose. It’s a slightly warmer version of YSL 22 Shimmer Rose (but in gloss form).
Overall I love everything about this collection color-wise. I still can’t wear that plump lip gloss, but the color is 10/10 great. However, if I had to pick just one thing from this launch, I think Candy Glaze 22 is the best one. I highly recommend adding these to your list for the Sephora sale starting on the 31st for Rouge members.
