After Cheirosa 62, this scent was the first introduction to the mist of Sol de Janeiro’s perfume. The sheer baby pink bottle has won some serious street credits on social media after customers started comparing this $38 bottle Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris Baccarat Rouge 540It retails for a whopping $335. Both have flower scents characterized by jasmine (I’m a sucker) as the main top note. Including the DragonFuruit on the Cheirosa 68, it’s packed with a slightly sweeter punch than the addition of the Baccarat Rouge 540’s Saffron and Cedarwood. When I run out of doors for business and coffee with my girlfriend, I reach for this pink bottle.
Summer time is a must: Sol de Janeiro Sol de Janeiro ’87 Rio Radiance Perfume Fog
After the number: The summer of 1987/88 came to be known as the Brazilian “Can Summer” after a bunch of cans filled with weeds on the coast of Rio. This scent is inspired by the parties, music and art that followed.
This is my summer scent and is perfect for when the sun finally stays past work and is finally back. I’m a girly heart on the coast to the west. This bright yellow bottle will be nostalgic for the way I grew summer. On a back-to-back day on the beach, I spit fog on my sunscreen, the salty Pacific breeze and the sun glows on my olive skin. When I’m not heading to the beach like I have been these days, the sun tube rose and sweet Iranian warm notes carry me at the moment my summer schedule is filled with the time I spent on the Southern California coastline. This scent is also useful during winter blues where serious sunlight needs pick-up.
For my scent layer friends: Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’59 Delecia Dreamch Perfume Mist
After the number: In 1959, Brazilian songwriter and guitarist Joan Gilbert released “Chega de Saudade” (translated into “No More Blues”), a pleasant, uplifting song that became famous in Latin culture.
Even if you don’t really understand the notes you are smelling, you know a scent that is very intoxicating. This is one of them. The overall scent isn’t as strong as some of the other in the brand’s lineup, but it can’t stop the spritz. The perfume name Delicia Drench is because all I want to do is soak myself with this plum, vanilla and sandalwood blend. In my opinion, this scent creates a warm base that is perfect for your layer. I recommend pairing it with a soft, flowery scent or going to musk completely Byredo Mojave Ghost or Replica lazy Sunday morning. Heck, sometimes I layer with another Sol de Janeiro like a new one Cheirosa 76, It will be a powdery but sweet topper.
