Caroline Delrio, beauty general manager at Co Bigelow in New York City, is poised to become a huge trend thanks to the soon-to-be-stained, dirty, smoky eyes.

Makeup artists and people’s co-founders Shirley Pinkson Manhas It points out the versatility of this trend. Whether you go for the boldest (like the full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon) or the more subtle (like the effervescent Ramblasco), the red wine colour palette is varied enough for whom the taste and skin tone. You can choose between darkberry blushing and vampire maroon lip moments, but Ventre retorts, “The eyes really settle you.”

Burgundy smokey eyes can feel intimidating, but Bentre says some blending techniques help you avoid looking like you have black eyes. Before reaching for the burgundy and cranberry shadows, she explains, “starting with neutral transition shades, like soft taupe, warm tan, or calm peaches, it’s a crease that makes blending easier and prevents harsh edges.” Then, press “Press deeper plum or chocolate brown on the outer corner of the eye to blend in with the Burgundy” to increase the depth. You’ll want to paint your shadow from the brightest towards the inner corner of your eyes to the darkest towards the tail of your brow.

The product you use will depend on how dramatically you want your shadow to be. For a smoldering look, Ventre recommends Viseart’s Petit Pro IIwith deep, rich plums and maroon shadows, plus lighter neutral colors that make for a great transition shade. “There’s a matte and sparkling shadow, so you can create matte smoky eyes and sparkling red wine eyes,” says Ventre.

If you want something more subtle, Manhas recommends the “pretty girl” approach of her brand Sepia’s Power Eyeshadow Palette. (I recommend it Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Gram Eyeshadow Palettehas a similar shade to buttery texture. ) “I keep my complexion fresh with a cloudy satin finish,” she says. She then uses neutral tones mixed with deep purple and maroon to create a soft, romantic eye look.

Isn’t eye makeup your strength? We hear you. Ventre is Ilia Multi-Stick Cream Blush + Highlighter + Lip Tint With a great romance. “It’s the perfect berry colour,” says Ventre. “I use the same product in [cheeks and lips] It’s a simple but effective way to keep your look cohesive. “We love it too Amicol Dessert Dating Cream Blush & Lip Multi Stack Shade Plum: this charm The winner of Best of Beauty is buttery and dry with a slightly matte finish, leaving behind a strong color wash.
