Summer Friday has added some new makeup products to the lineup, including a lip pencil. They are Soft line lip liner long lasting lip pencil ($20 each) and stains on flushed lips ($22). These are currently available at: sephora and summer friday. I received the full set to try and review, and as someone who struggles with lip liner being noticeable on pigmented lips, I’m 10/10 excited about this launch!
Soft line lip liner long lasting lip pencil
Nail polish: Stan and Dan
The standout for me is definitely Soft line lip liner long lasting lip pencil. It comes in 8 shades and what I love about it is that it resembles a traditional lip liner pencil. The staying power is very good, but these aren’t like fully impact-resistant gel pencils as they tend to make your lips look dry as the day goes on. Traditional pencils like this one are gentler on your lips, especially if you have dry lips.
The formula is smooth but not slippery like Merit’s (it’s more glossy). I like the pigment. Even the lighter tones show up on my pigmented lips and have great coverage. I love the shade range of this formula. I think all colors are wonderful!
Normally you just draw a line along the outer edge, but I swatch these all over my lips and then find a matching gloss or lipstick to coordinate.

of stains on flushed lips It’s beautiful and the pigments are very good. I personally don’t like dirt. Because on my lips, liquid lipstick and lip stains become unrecognizably dark. What I see on my lips rarely matches what I see on the swatch or applicator.
I think the product is excellent and definitely has staying power. I tried to remove the swatch from my arm, but the stain remained even after using a two-phase makeup remover. I couldn’t do all the lip swatches because the stain stuck to my lips so tightly. I felt like the colors would blend if I swatched more.
Overall love. I think it would also be fun to pair it with lip butter balm. I haven’t played around with layering different shades, but I think the colors created are very beautiful.
