Not everyone wants to remove their body hair. Some people don’t have much body hair to begin with, and some choose not to. But if you want to get rid of excess body hair, knowing where to start without sensitizing or drying out your skin can be a daunting task.

There are many tried-and-true methods for removing body hair, including shaving, waxing, hair removal creams, lasers, etc. If you shave, do it properly with shaving cream to protect your delicate skin and always use a fresh razor.

Shaving at the end of a bath or shower when your skin is at its most soft will help minimize cuts. Because your skin is most sensitive after shaving, try to use bath oils and shower gels that are free of parabens, sulfates, and artificial fragrances, as these ingredients can dry out and irritate your skin over time.

However, the gold standard for hair removal is laser treatment. Laser treatments use light to kill and remove hair from the hair follicle. You’ll need at least 6-8 treatments, spaced 6-8 weeks apart, and after each treatment, your hair will be sparse or gone. Depending on your hair growth, you may need more treatments. It’s important to stay out of the sun during treatment, so this is best done in the winter – so be prepared for next summer! Harley Medical Group.

If you decide to get laser hair removal at a salon, it’s a good idea to start in the winter, as it will require multiple visits. It’s important to remember that exposure to sunlight during laser treatment can damage your skin. So if you’re thinking about laser hair removal, why not book your treatment this fall and have it done by next summer?
