Today is the last day of the Sephora Sale and the last day with Code Savmore, and there is a full distance to share your first impression. There’s a fair bit on my list to try and the sale is at the perfect time!
I pick out skincare transport
My skin has been making some changes last month, so I was looking for new moisturizers and serum to try. Here’s what I’ve covered:
Dennis Gloss Vitamin C Lactic Acid Serum – I haven’t had the chance to try this yet, but I’ve heard a lot of good things, I might pick it up Moisturizer version Also, if you have your favorite vitamin C serum, let us know in the comments!
Alpyn Super Peptide and Ghostberry Moisturizer -This was the most recommended moisturizer from you! I sought recommendations for Instagram stories. This fruitful person was everyone’s favorite. I think this is something I often get to when my skin recurs or returns to normal. My skin is super dehydrated for now, so I need something heavier.
Innbeauty Project Extreme Cream and Fing Eye Cream – I was very interested in this brand. I’ve seen it pop up anywhere in my feed! After some discussion and feedback from you, I decided to try it and I’m 100% in love with both. They are 100% worth trying, despite being a more abundant formula. A considerable number of you said you live in a hot climate and still love this. I’ll buy a full size of moisturizer before the sale ends tonight.
Bio-dance Bio-collagen mask set – Another viral skincare product that I’m interested in. I haven’t tried this yet as they recommend you apply for a few hours. I can’t wait to give it a try.
I’ve refilled Kiel’s Ultra Facial Cleanser (My favorite) And Andrew picked up another one Drunk Elephant Protoni Polypeptide Cream I have my own stockpile in the house I share with him and he really likes this.
I’ll buy sunscreen
Andrew and I have a mission to try as many sunscreen as possible. Now we are hot and very sunny in Miami, so we are keen to apply sunscreen every day and reapply. Also, it’s hot here, so we’re trying to find the best sweaty thing that won’t slip off quickly with sweat, but it doesn’t clog our pores or feel greasy. This was a challenge as Andrew doesn’t like minerals and doesn’t want to wear anything that feels greasy.
Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion Mineral SPF60 – This is a new formula and I tried this for the body. It’s a mineral, but blends in well. There’s still a bit of a white cast, but I like it’s not thick. I need to test it in the pool or the beach to give my full idea, but so far I’ve been giving it a thumbs up. I don’t know I can convince Andrew to try it.
Ultra Violet is a brand that I am very interested in. I bought it Vibrant Screen SPF 50 (For the body) and I like it, but it’s rather wrapped and not actually dry. That said it wasn’t too heavy.
I also picked it up Ultra Violet Mini SPF Mate I’ll try my face together Sheen Screen SPF 50 Hidrating Lip Balm. I haven’t had the chance to try it, but many of you like these!
Isdin is another line I had on the radar, but I hesitate because the two most popular ones are minerals. I tried it Fusion Water Magic SPF 40 And I’m not really a fan of textures. However, I’ll test it a few more times. The two mineral formulas are incredible and I think these are the first mineral sunscreens I actually liked.
Eryfotona Actinica Ultralight Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 There is a little bit of a white cast, but they also Eryfotona Ageless Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 I really love it. Both are extremely fluid and lightweight. They’ve been layered on my moisturizer so far and I’m not inspired.
Jart Dr. every Sun Face Sakreen SPF 50 -This is the formula Andrew chose to try. He likes it and says it’s not too greasy.
Hair care + fragrance pick
I bought some new ones to try my hair. I had high hopes Gisou Mini Wildflower Honey Injected Hair Perfume. It’s so cute and perfect for your wallet, but I’m not sure what the scent is.
The OUAI team sent them out Leave it in the conditioner It has a St. Barts scent and is perfect for summer. I was planning on picking up one, but was excited that they sent one!
Verb Ghost zero gravity oil – I used it this year ago and I don’t know why it stopped. I love picking up this and trying again! I think it’s better than the new kerastase oil.
A simple cry for Oribe Serene Scalp densifying Shampoo, conditioner and Treatment spray. For me, this is the best thickening line I have tried. I received these in PR a month ago and although it’s not a daily treatment for me, I always love this.
Kerastase fired a new gloss absolute line and I was 100% sure this was the Holy Grail material. I like it, but it’s not something I can use every day because I’m too rich for my hair. I bought the entire line including Antifriz shampoo, conditioner, Hair oil and Antifrizz Spray. I didn’t like antiflys spray (too thick/too heavy), but I love the oil.
I bought both minis Glossier You Fleur eau de parfum and Jo Malone Beach Blossom Cologne Try it first. We decided to go for the full size of Fleurfleur, featuring unique flowers and salty blends. I’m usually not interested in Osmanthus’ notes, but this is really good.
I had the highest hopes for Joe Malone Beach flowers. I love the list of all the notes and the packaging looks very beautiful. Unfortunately, this didn’t work with my skin chemistry and had zero lasting power. The best beach scent of today is still the waters of Creed Virgin Island, which is very splurged (unfortunately not available in Sephora), but no other comparisons.
Makeup Picks
I went overboard a little to carry my makeup. I might have been able to review everything before the sale ended, but I have some videos with swatches that could help.
Merit launched a new one Shade Slick Lip Oil and Signature Sheer Lip Liner. You can see them It’s working here. The overall vibe of both is that they are very thin for a minimalist look. The lip liner is thin and shiny, and I think it’s very interesting. They glide beautifully on their lips, but very subtle. The lip oil is also a bit nuanced, but it layered neatly on the liner. I don’t know to call them essentials because of my makeup preferences. I like things that have more pigments.
New colors of Fengloss bomb oil Drop and as a Fenty Gloss addicted, I carried all the shades. One thing I didn’t like was rose amber (cool/grey pulled me too much). You can see them It’s working here And sample here. I love the smooth texture. They feel thinner than the original Fenty Gloss bomb. The glow looks intimidating, but on the lips it is not as sparkly as you can see the tube. The best are fu $$y and fentyglow. Frosted Bunz is something I really like too.
Gisou has launched their new shades Honey Injection Lip Oil. They’re fun and I love the formula, but the colour is very light. Look at them It’s working here.
I picked up three powders to try and managed to try two of them. I really love it YSL All Time Hyper Blur Loose Set Powder (I bought 02 Fair Medium). I had high hopes Cosus Cloud Set Loose Powder However, it seems to settle on thin lines and emphasize them. I think my skin is probably too dry. I might keep this when my skin returns to normal (it’s too dry now).
I picked it up Givenchy Prisme Libre Matte Pressed Powder 03 Voile Rose. I haven’t had the chance to try it yet, but I’m very interested in how it works. Simple tips for what’s sold out online. We highly recommend purchasing online at the Store Option. Even if things are sold out online, many stores still have stock and you can search for stores near you by postal code. If you use that option to buy online (to pick up in the store), keep your purchase for a few days in case you can’t make it right away.
I picked up some Haus Labs. I have seen Bioradian glass-like balm highlighter stick And they have the cleanest glass glow. I don’t usually get a shiny/glassy look on my face, but these were so pretty that I had to try out some shades.
I’ve reviewed the bronzer transport picks. Dior forever nude bronzer jumbo The size of yesterday’s post. I also added some ideas about Westman Atelier Sun Tone Bronze Shades 2 Drop Even in that post.
Haus Labs also lost bronzer again with a Powder Sculpt Velvet Talc Free Powder Bronzer. I’m really trying to love this because it’s so popular, but the texture doesn’t sit well on my skin and the colour doesn’t look right in the tone of my skin. I chose the third lightest shade of Terra Sol Light Medium.
As a tube mascara fan, I am now Rush Extreme Tube Mascara too wrapped in the face To see how it is compared tart. It’s good and doesn’t stain or flake, but it doesn’t add much volume to your lashes. I think the tart is much better.
I’ve refilled Glossier Boy Brow Arch Pencil Cool brown and warm brown. There aren’t many products in these, but I still really like them. I bought each one again as I could wear either a warm or a cool version.
That concludes my very long transport of Sephora. If you’ve been wondering about any of these items, I hope this haul + first impression post will be helpful!
Stay tuned for more reviews and sample once I’m back in my routine! I’m also planning a present for my blog reader this week. We will also be hosting on Instagram.
