I am known as the “Guru of Nude” for my trademark sophisticated natural makeup, so now is the time to shine (or glow)! The “Sophisticated Nude” makeup trend will dominate the Fall/Winter 2024 season, offering a sophisticated interpretation of natural beauty. It is all about evoking the refined elegance of the 80s and 90s and reimagining the classic nude palette for the modern era. To pull off this trend, we aim to embrace neutral tones, matte velvet skin with just the right amount of shine, a taupe color palette, and a lavish inclusion of browns and beiges for the eyes and lips. The goal is not to transform your features, but to enhance your natural beauty and achieve a timeless and elegant allure.

Tips for a sophisticated nude look
It starts with the skin
Good makeup starts with good skin. A good glow can only be achieved if your skin is in good condition. So, eat well, drink plenty of water and take care of your skin. That means if you take the time to prep your skin, tone it and cleanse it properly, then when you do put on makeup, you will need to use minimal amount.
Don’t hide your skin
Sophisticated nude makeup is about experiencing your skin and highlighting it to make it look its most beautiful. I believe makeup should be authentic – it should enhance your features rather than hide, cover or change them.
Color Match
With nude-focused makeup, it’s more important than ever to find the right shade for you. Test multiple shades if necessary, or ask a professional to help you find your shade. Test on your jawline, not your arm.
Not a contour line
This is about shaping, not contouring: rather than adding a hard contour on top of your base, you layer the product underneath your foundation to gently highlight and shape.
Adding Edges
With such a polished look, it can sometimes seem overdone, so adding some tousled elements like messy hair, blurry eyes and a Saint Laurent AW24-esque smudged lip without a line will give the look a fashion edge.
