It’s time to sum up another perfume! I have been exploring more scents this year and am thrilled to have found so many wonderful new loves. Today, I mainly focus on new things I love right now, but I also mention some mistakes.
Maison Francis Kirkjean Kerkey
Maison Francis Kirkjean Kerkey ($245, Nordstrom) This is my favorite splurge of the year! It’s a creamy fruity gourmet food, not too sweet. There is a beautiful mix of musk and vanilla for a bright and fun feel. I have to spritz very freely as the power lies on the softer side. I haven’t explored much from MFK over the years, but after a recent visit to a local boutique I was really surprised that most of the things I tried in the store don’t have very long lasting power or throws. Have you experienced this too?
Note: Tangy Fruity Accord, Tutti-Frutti Notes, Musk, Vanilla.
New from Phlur
Phlur’s new hair and body fog is very enjoyable in the summer. Peach skin*($25-$38, Sephora) Amazing fruity, juicy aroma with a mix of white freesia, jasmine, amber, coconut caramel and sandalwood. I didn’t think I like the scent of peaches, but I love this one. After trying this I went to investigate another peach Guerlain Peche Mirage And, while it’s great, it wasn’t pure love. I might check it again. Sometimes I need some attempts to really get a sense of how perfume works on my skin.
Peach Skin Notes: Top: Peach Bellini, Plum, Peach Skin, Bergamot
Heart: White Freesia, Vanilla Orchid, Jasmine Nectar
Base: Milky sandalwood, thin amber, coconut caramel
Beach skin*($25-$38, Sephora) It has a perfect airy beachy coconut scent with bergamot and tiare flowers. I like this much more than my lovely coconut skin, but the beach skin has a lighter summery feel.
Note Top: Bergamot, salted tiare flowers, pink pepper
Heart: Coconut milk, lily of the valley
Base: Sandalwood, vanilla, musk
I tried it Golden Rules* and Rose whip*Phlur and I think they are beautiful, the notes are not my vibe. The Golden Rules were a bit too sweet, the rose whipped was a very velvety rose, and I never rose to stand up in a warm climate.
Chanel Chance Oaks Splendid
Chanel Chance Oaks Splendid*($143 – $176, Chanel) The latest addition to the Chance family, and I think it’s the best ever. It’s bright, fruity, sweet and youthful with raspberry accord, violet, rose and rose geranium. The scent has a powdery iris, cedar and musk mixture, which is even deeper. It has a flirty sweet fragrance with a very bright and youthful feel. I don’t usually like the raspberry scent so I was surprised at how pretty it is, but this one is really pretty.
Note: Sparkling Raspberry Accord, Rose, Violet, Rose Geranium, Minty Note, Iris, Cedar, White Mask.
New from Creed
Creed Eladaria*($445, Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, Credit) Fresh, powdery peony rose. I love how this changes as it sinks into my skin. You can also detect the notes of Lily in the Valley along with a little musk. It’s a very elaborate and intricate rose, but it’s still fresh. For flowers, my heart still belongs to the spring flowers of Creed.
Eladaria Notes: Top: Mandarin, Bergamot, Pink Pepper
Middle Notes: Roses, Peonies, Valley Lily, Powder Memo
Base notes: Mask, vanilla, ambroxan, cashmere wood
New from Celine
Celine Nation Francais ($310 – $450, Celine) This is the latest addition to Celine’s fragrance lineup, and it’s summer in a bottle. It has a beachy floral pattern with bergamot, petit grain and neroli, giving it a slightly green feel. It’s fresh, and the powdery notes are subtle. For me, it feels the same as the flower of Frederic Mal’s physical body. Celine Un Ete Francais has a fresh green atmosphere. I briefly saw it and shared it Miami’s Celine Boutique is here.
Note: Bergamot, Petitgrain, Neroli, Gorse, and Vanilla Accords.
Byredo Absolus
Both new Byredo Absolu Editions Moherb Ghost and Blanche It’s beautiful. Both are very similar to the original, with very subtle differences in the skin, but I find them to be very strong with a better, lasting force. Both of these have depth and warmth, making them even more interesting for me. If you already own and like the original, I don’t think you need a new one unless you’ve bought it back.
Blanche Absoloo ($280 – $385, Nordstrom) The original blanche has a very sharp, sharp, clean smell, but is even warmer. The new Absolute is similar, but not as sharp.
Blanche Absolu Notes Top: Aldehyde, Rose Centifolia
Heart: Peony, Violet
Base: Male Zuk, Sandalwood
Mojave Ghost Absolu ($280 – $385, Nordstrom) It also has a slightly warmer, creamier base. The permanent power has never been without problems with the byredo lasting power on the skin, but it is much better than the original.
Mojave Ghost Absolu Notes Top: Ambrette, Jamaican Nesberry, Pear
Heart: Magnolia, Sandalwood, Violet
Bases: Cedarwood, Chantilly Musk, Crispy Amber, Vetiver, Amiris
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Hand Cream
If you’re a few fans Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Perfumes They added some of the super cute scents Aqua Allegoria Hand Cream ($60). The scent is not new, but I am very curious and thought I would share a simple look. I have it and love it Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Forte of Mandarin Basilin ($185) A beautiful sweet citrus fruit with basil and green tea. The hand cream is beautifully packaged with a smooth texture. Not so smooth Chanella cream mainHowever, Guerlain has a nice lightweight texture with minimal stickiness. Hand creams have a light fragrance (as if they weren’t as strong as perfumes), and they smell very light and fresh. After testing it, I don’t think it’s worth splurge, but I’ll continue to use it until it’s exhausted. I personally think about it Chanella cream main or Dior Le Bahmes The smooth texture of the hands is improved.
When it comes to citrus perfumes, I love Guerlain, but still Chanel Les Aucs des Chanel Paris Riviera or Paris Bylitz.
Valaya Exclusif
I loved the original Parfums de Marly Valaya But new Valaya Exclusif It’s even better. Valaya Exclusif ($250 – $410, Nordstrom) It has a softer, more velvet-like powdery feel. Both are beautiful, but the original smells pretty much sharper, so I love the newer version.
Valaya Exclusif Notes Top Notes: Velvety Almond, Bergamot, Mandarin
Central note: orange flowers, white flowers, powdery facets
Base notes: Akigarawood, sandalwood, ambroxan, vanilla
New Grosher
glossier you fleur ($32-$78, Sephora) It is a skin-like flower with a mineral salt accord. This is the first Ottomanthus scent I actually liked, with a mix of Iran-Iran and apricots. It smells of your skin with a subtle, subtle musk + floral atmosphere. It has a similar feeling to Glossier, but Fleur One pulls more skin-like and natural smell. If you want something powerful and powerful, this is probably too light for you.
