Rhode added new shades pocket blush ($25) and peptide lip tint ($20 each) Perfect for spring. As a big fan of cream blushes, I tried out both shades and the new lip gloss color.
Pocket Blush – new shades
of road pocket blush These are probably the two cream blushes I use the most. I love it because it’s an easy way to add a pop of color to your cheeks. The color is flattering and easy to blend. They went on many trips with me!
tea cup A mauve raspberry pink, candy apple It’s a bold reddish pink. Both shades look bold when swatched, but they blend well so you can definitely control the pigment to achieve a more natural-looking blush. Both new shades are a sure win for me. I think Candy Apple is a really beautiful red.

Peptide Lip Tint – New Shade
I had really mixed feelings about it peptide lip tint. It’s been a while since I’ve used it since I threw away most of my stuff when I moved to Miami a year ago. I did quite a bit of decluttering, but found that most of it was creating a weird grainy texture. A review I read said it was due to temperature fluctuations, but I threw it out just to be safe. I’ve been buying new ones ever since. Recent reviews say this issue has been fixed, and so far it seems that way.
Only time will tell about the formula situation, but I really like the new shades. sweet pea It is a warm sheer pink. I think the atmosphere is similar in terms of color. Patrick Ta’s Major Moisture Smoothing Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm Pink salted caramel (road version is more shiny with glass glitter). Lorde describes sweet peas as “pearly”, but for some reason I don’t see any shimmer or iridescent qualities in mine.
pretzels It is a shimmering mauve color. This is described as “warm” but it’s definitely not warm to me. My skin becomes more neutral or cool toned but still really pretty. This one is also medium sheer but has enough pigment to add color to the lips. I took the glosses I have and the ones from Patrick Ta and swatched them side by side below.
