Q&A with Jasmina Vico
What is your signature treatment?
My signature treatment is “Everywhere, Everywhere, All at Once!”, and I also offer individual skin signature treatments for different concerns and skin conditions.
VicoGlow, Vico Laser Tech, Vico Elevate, etc. I like to solve problems and take my clients’ lifestyle and genetics into account to create a plan.
I am like a skin detective, I not only find the symptoms but also the causes. I treat the skin as a canvas and create a treatment plan. I combine different lasers and medical devices to treat skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, acne scars, mesotherapy, exosomes, etc., but they are not all the same.
Who are your customers?
We have clients from all walks of life; those working in the art, fashion, film and entertainment industries, as well as the wealthy. We are happy to have many clients from LA, New York and Paris regularly visiting us, making our store a destination. We treat men, women and clients of all ages. We are truly grateful and thankful for each and every one of our clients as we build the VicoSkin community.
Face/body or both?
We offer skin treatments at our clinic, and if you have skin concerns on your face or body, we can treat scars, loss of collagen, stretch marks, and pigmentation in any area with our laser treatments.
Universal skin care advice?
Let’s start with skin care. Protect your skin from the sun. Vitamin D is important, but you don’t need to take too much. Sun breaks down collagen and elastin fibers. Even with all the right skin ingredients and repair lasers in the world, prevention is always better than cure or correction. Your skin remembers and is damaged when you’re young. Keep wearing SPF.
What is one thing you wish people would stop doing with their skin?
Don’t overuse skin care products, don’t experiment at home, don’t use skin care products that don’t suit your skin, don’t jump on any new skin care fads, etc. I recommend finding a trusted professional and following the routine that they recommend specifically for you.
Any final words of wisdom?
Sleep is everything. This is when your entire body recovers and regenerates: your skin, your muscles, your brain. During sleep, your body regenerates skin cells, balances your hormone system, and helps rebuild your skin and produce collagen. Sleep optimization is one of the biggest industries right now. It’s more important than ever to track your health, take advantage of your magnesium, avoid HEV light and screens, and get enough Vitamin D. New research is coming out that shows it’s incredibly important and beneficial for our circadian rhythms and our brains. Vitamin D regulates everything and is especially important for women.
All of this is great advice!
