Starting today, I will be closing out my favorites starting in May. I usually focus on my makeup favorites, but today’s post is about hair, body and skin as many people want more skin care and love for hair care.
My hair and skin have been undergoing some changes since around November. Also, recent trends have made major changes in life. Both Tampa Bay and Miami Beach are very sunny and hot, but Miami is pretty hot and I think the excess heat has dehydrated my skin.
I’ve been switching things up for my skin and hair. This is what I’ve loved.
I love skincare
My top two cleansers are still Chanel L’Huile Anti-pollution Cleansing Oil and Kiel’s Ultra Facial Cleanser. I have tried several other brands and these are great for effectively removing sunscreen + makeup without removing the skin. I really like new things too Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Barrier High Ring Cleanser Too much (same as the original, but more moisturized). For reference Kiel’s We offer 25% off on sales of friends and family (30% off for members). Andrew also uses both keel cleansers.
Of all the new moisturizers I have tried, Innbeauty Project In Sephora It was the best for me. The products I have tried are richer and more hydrated than I normally use, but I love how they are not heavy and feel very good on my skin. I started with travel size (also love The attempt for this value is set here). I ended up being a travel size Extreme cream But I bought the full size Extreme cream eyes and Resilient Skin Grinding Serum.
The serum has a really nice, light texture and is really absorbed into the skin. I love layering all three together and can be happy to report that they didn’t irritate or clog my pores. Recommended on 10/10.
I also experienced texture issues, but clogged pores were primarily due to lack of peeling. We had a great facial at one of our local skin clinics here in Miami Beach (hydraulic, wireless frequency, LED treatment, etc.). They really helped to give my skin a kickstart to clear it. In the case of exfoliation, the two things I found to be a game changer are those of U Beauty and Dr. Dennis Gross.
I’ve started using Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Pads Again, it was a game changer. I also love the leather pad/resurfacing options The beauty of first aid and Elemis But I need something strong, and Dr. Dennis Gross’s is perfect. I use it 2-3 times more in the evenings a week. There are also other options Extra kind or Extra strength Also, the trial size will be smaller in case you’re not used to them and don’t know what kind to try.
Many people recommended it U Beauty Resurfacing Compound And I finally decided to give it a try – it’s also a game changer. I bought it Mini set I plan to buy 100% of the full size. Resurfacing compounds are serums containing vitamin C, retinol, multihydroxy acids, vitamin E and antioxidants. I was really impressed with how it improves the texture. I don’t want to overdo the acid (especially using skin pads), so I only use it twice as much as a moisturizer this week.
Another cry Bliss Clear Genius Acne Spot Treatment This is because it is a holy grail material. We give you the best acne spot treatment with 2% salicylic acid. I can apply it to the spot (and reapply 2-3 times throughout the day with bigger acne). It helps reduce inflammation and actually target acne. Andrew swears to this too.
I love suncare
Since moving to Miami, I have tried almost every new sunscreen. The sun is very strong here and we go out on Ollie walks every day, so we were more diligent with sunscreen.
I still really love it Chanel UV Escentiel For texture. It’s not too thick or too heavy, and I often wear it under makeup.
For mineral options, I love it Cowdery One is colored Isdin. You need to be more diligent with double cleansing as minerals tend to stick to your skin.
I’ve been a longtime follower Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector SPF 60 But I decided to give something new The ultimate sun protector lotion mineral Version A TRY TRY. I love it so much! It has a very slight white cast, but when you blend it, you really can’t see it. The other versions are a little more wrapped, but are even dryer. I’ve been using the mineral version on my body for a month. However, removing it requires extra work. The best combo for removing mineral body sunscreen EcoTools Shower Gloves and Jack Black Turbo Wash.
Body care
My history Chanel’s favorite body oil I’m back! I’m very excited they’ve refilled it. Chanel Body Oil is a very splurge, but is packaged in a beautiful glass bottle and is the most luxurious bottle for your skin. They now love having a little stopper on the top and control how much oil comes out. Chanel Foil Dooth It is a light body oil and has a very fresh and beautiful smell. I love the way it’s not sticky and unlike the other oils I’ve tried, it softens the skin.
For hand care, my favorite cuticle oil is Chanel La Hail Cameria and Hermes nutritional oil. I use both, but I bought them back, and I think they are worth splurge.
A while ago I said there are some challenges to find deodorizers that don’t irritate the skin. Last year, a big skin flare-up was introduced from bug spray, making it a nest box. It took me about three months to fully recover. Since then, my skin has experienced sensitivity to deodorizers, even those I have been using for years (native, salt, stone, etc.). so far Salt Air and phlur The only formula I could use without stimulation was the formula. I reached out to Salt Air One more because the santal scent doesn’t interfere with my perfume as much as the vanilla option.
Going back to the topic of exfoliation, I don’t use physical scrubs on my face, but I definitely can use it on my body. I’ve started using Emergency Beauty KP Bump Eraser And we love it. It clears all of Andrew’s body breakouts and I like to use this on my feet. I ordered the KP option Salt Air and Naturium You can also try it out. I’ll continue posting you!
I also really loved Osea Malibu. I also started using this line mini I fell in love a while ago. I’ve restocked all my favorites, including travel sizes. I love it Unaria algae body oil, lotion and Body serum. 10/10 I recommend trying one of them Travel Kit If you’re not used to the line.
hair care
Finally, I love some hair care that month. My hair feels dry on the edges so I switched things up. My favorite line is Shuemura Hair City Moist Hydration Shampoo, conditioner and mask. I really liked this line. I used it and then bought it all back. It’s a great hydration line that doesn’t squeeze my hair and I love the way it smells.
After experiencing still dry edges I started using Kerasthesis Nutrition 8H Magic Night Serum Also. I forgot about this and can’t rave enough about it! If your hair does not appear to be improving with conditioner, mask or oils during holidays, we highly recommend trying this serum. You apply it to the night, and I can’t tell you how big a difference it makes.
R&CO Dirt Stick Get another scream. This is something that cannot be lived for fly away at its roots. I’m still getting regeneration and my thick hair is not left on top with hair spray. This is the best option I’ve found to keep them properly. It won’t make your hair very greasy, but if you sweat, you’ll find that you need to wash it off at the end of the day.
I love good wallet-sized brushes, but most of them bump into my bag. I love it GHD Mini Brush For hard items that don’t easily bend in your bag. Sisley Brush’s Hair Rituel comes in a mini Pocket brush size And I love it. I wish I had a mini case to better protect it, but it’s still very sturdy and durable. I love it being a mini, but it’s still big enough to work.
That concludes my May favourite! Please let me know if you have love! I always love reading about what you discover and fall in love.
