Laneige has launched a lip balm in a colour called The Glaze Craze-toned Polypeptide Lip Serum ($22 each; Sephora, Coles and Laneige). I’m a huge fan Glowing balm on lips And I was really excited to see Laneige’s new shade of lip products!
Glaze Craze Lip Serum It is inspired by donuts, each with a different sweet, gourmet aroma. I really love the scent they made – they are sweet, but not too sweet. They smell me like chocolate.
The formula is smooth and not sticky, but still has a refreshing/shiny feel. They feel very hydrated on the lips and the pigments are perfect for colored balms. The colours appear, but they still have natural shades. Each colour they create is 10/10 beautiful and I think it’s very flattering.

There are some characteristics of serum that I find a bit of trouble with. These are not deal breakers for me, but some of you mentioned these in your DM so I thought I pointed them out too. Applying too many products will make the texture a little thicker, but it’s easy to blend.
I’m not sure about the applicators they made for these balms. Glaze Clays Lip Serum Comes with a cushioned donut-shaped applicator. It’s soft and squishy and I give Rayneige a 5 star for innovation, but it can be awkward as it makes the exact application challenging. Also, the tips become very messy and become a bit goopy over time as the product oozes out.
There was one shade that seemed to settle and separate on the lip line of the bare lips (peach gl drug), which can be corrected by applying a lip liner underneath.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase, especially as pigment levels are exactly what colored perfumes are. I love that they aren’t too thin. Many of you wanted to know how these were compared. Summer Friday Lip Butter Balm And I feel like they’re very different. The balm on Friday summers has a slightly lighter texture and a lighter hint of colour, but the Laneige Serums are thicker and opaque. If you like the concept of colored lip products that are moisturizing but require a more budget-friendly one, I would also recommend checking out Elf Glow Reviver Lip Oil. The formulas aren’t really the same, but I’m a big fan of them, a big fan for the coloured lip hydrators and I think they have really great colours.
I pulled some swatches on other balm/oils and some sheen to compare colors.
Available at Sephora, Coles and Laneige. Have you tried it yet? What did you think?
