Hourglass has launched a new liquid blush in a dropper format. Unreal Liquid Blush ($36 each). Also new No. 15 Blush Brush ($46) are angled to coincide with the new release, and the Hourglass team sent me all the colors to review, so today I have samples and details to share with you.
these Unreal Liquid Blush It comes in a little bottle with a dropper on top, there is a soft button at the bottom of the bottle that you press to dispense one drop, the recommendation is to apply it on the back of your hand and then use a brush to pick up the product and apply it in a pointillist fashion.
The products are very pigmented but also flowable, making them easy to blend and build up. There are 7 shades and I think the colour range is very good. The tones are very appealing, although most of them are on the warm side, with 3 being peach/coral, so if you prefer cooler tones they may be too warm for you.
- scene It’s a nude pink, so it blends in very naturally with the skin.
- Whimsical It’s bright pink. This is my favorite.
- vision It’s a warm rose
- for a moment It’s orange
- future It’s a pinkish coral
- imagine It’s a burnt orange color.
- Crafting It’s a berry
The formula dispenses easily without overflowing. I also love how easy it is to apply and blend. Another plus is that it doesn’t take away from foundation or powder when blended over a base. The Craft shade took a bit of effort to blend smoothly because it contrasts the most with my skin tone. It leaves my cheeks feeling moisturized after blending, but it’s not as moisturizing as Pat McGrath Divine Cream Blush.
of Unreal Liquid Blush It claims to last for 12 hours, but that wasn’t the case for me. The color stays on my cheeks for a while, but after 3-4 hours, the color has faded and my cheeks look fresher than when I first applied it. I think it would last longer in cooler weather, but I don’t think it will last 12 hours in cooler weather.
For this look, I paired each cheek color with a matching lip color. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation At 6.5.

Overall, I like the color, even if it has too much of a peachy/orange tint (just my opinion). I like how easy it is to control the pigment level. I think the staying power could be improved, but to do that they would need to change the formula to give it a less shiny finish.
The brushes are very well made and perfect for blending. I love hourglass brushes, I have quite a few in my collection and use them all the time, however I think you could use any of them in the collection.
