Hourglass has released three limited edition palettes and I can’t believe it’s already that time. Unlocking the Ambient Lighting Editing Palette This year’s palette has finally been released with many new colors, which I’m very happy about, and you can buy it online now. Hourglass Cosmetics This is an early access version and will be available at other retailers worldwide from September 20th.
This year’s three palette options are:

Dragon Palette
of Dragon Palette Although it has the lightest shades and variations, this is a versatile product and can be used by light to tanned skin tones. I love this product. It looks pretty ordinary in the palette but the shimmer and diffused texture of the powder really appealed to me and really surprised me. It has warmer tones than last year’s Jellyfish palette.
- Dream Light Ambient Lighting Finishing Powder – soft light pearl with a soft opal shimmer
- Peach Fusion Ambient Lighting Blush – soft, shimmery peach
- Divine Light Ambient Lighting Finishing Powder – Pale pink translucent powder
- Mauve Haze Ambient Lighting Blush – Soft Mauve Pink
- Soft Bronze Ambient Lighting Bronze – A neutral warm bronze
- Strobe light illuminated by sunlight Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder – Metallic Champagne

Evil Eye Palette
of Evil Eye Palette It’s the middle ground of the three palettes. At first glance, I thought it was pretty much the same as last year’s Leopard. Swatching them side by side, it’s definitely a different tone, with cooler pink highlights, more neutral/pink tones mixed with warmer tones. They’re similar, but I think the differences are clear.
- Soft Light Finishing Powder – A soft, sheer peach beige
- Rose Gold Strobe Light Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder – Metallic Rose Pink Champagne
- Pink Fusion Ambient Lighting Blush – a soft, cool pink glow
- OASIS GLOW Ambient Lighting Blush – shimmery light apricot/peach/tan
- Vivid Coral Ambient Lighting Blush – Pink Coral
- Natural Bronze Ambient Lighting Bronze – Medium Neutral Bronze

Lotus flower
of Lotus Flower Palette This is the darkest variation this year. It has a more neutral undertone compared to last year’s Snake palette. On my medium tan skin tone, the new Lotus Flower looks warmer in tone than it did in the palette, but I think on darker skin tones it will be more neutral in tone. I love the colors in this palette, but they don’t suit my skin tone. The shades are definitely great, but the tones are darker so I need a super light hand for my skin tone.
- Gold strobe light Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder – Stunning warm gold glow
- Desert Flash Ambient Lighting Blush – Burnt Peach
- Eternal Light Ambient Lighting Finishing Powder – Warm Amber Tan
- Radiant Rose Strobe Light Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder – Metallic Copper Rose Shimmer
- Red 0 Ambient Lighting Blush – Deep Berry Pink
- Bronze Heat Ambient Lighting Bronze – Deep Bronze

My two favorites are Dragon and Evil Eye. I’m going on a trip soon so these arrived at just the right time as I’ll probably be taking these two with me. Is it worth the price/splurge? I think it is. I love all the colors and each palette has enough shades to complete my whole face. I often use at least one or two shades on my eyes as well.
