Dior Beauty’s spring collection features fresh, radiant pieces that are perfect for refreshing your makeup look this year. I picked up a few items, including the newly reformulated Addict Lip Glow Oil, Forever Skin Bronze Stick, some blush products, and Dior’s latest fragrance launch. After spending some time testing everything thoroughly, I’m finally finalizing my review today.
New Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil
dior reimagined addict lip glow oil ($42 each, dior, sephora, nordstrom, ulta beauty) and the three finishes now offer slightly different textures.
- Juicy has a glass-like shine and a transparent finish + tint
- The glaze contains more pigments for a soft color effect
- Sparkly is a sparkling finish with tiny sparkles.
These are designed to be pH-responsive, but most stayed true to the color in the tube on my lips. The shimmery, juicy color gives a sheer look, but the Glaze formula is more pigmented and has medium coverage.
The new formula feels a little thinner and wears easily and comfortably on the lips. It still has a cushiony oil feel and a strong shine. I think it’s more moisturizing than the original version.
My favorites are Latte, Black Cherry, Cherry, Minty, and Fiji Pink (this is limited edition) dior.com).
dior addict eau de parfum
new dior addict eau de parfum ($98 to $120) Bright, fun, and youthful. These scents are more of a body splash than a very strong perfume, but they still have really good staying power on my skin. Rosie Glow is definitely my personal favorite (I’ve already used up one bottle).
- rosy glow There is rose and lychee. Fruity, fresh and creamy
- peach glow It has sweet vanilla notes like peaches and cream and sweet like jasmine.
- purple glow It has a fruity raspberry-like scent.
backstage rosy glow blush
I picked up four blush products from the collection and they are all: dior.com Limited edition in America.
i really loved backstage rosy glow blush ($42 each, dior.com). The new shades Ultra Pink and Orange Fizz are both amazing. Ultra Pink is very bright and looks more pigmented than the other colors in this formula. This requires a little more blending. Orange fizz is a softer option. It’s an orange peach, but when blended it gives a more natural peach feel.
spring cheek color
Dior Forever Glow Luminizer in sugar cane ($55, dior.com) is one of the most unique highlighters I’ve ever tried. This is a very unique wine with a champagne base that flashes pink and blue almost like a duochrome. I thought it might be a little too trendy for me, but I love the way it shimmers on my skin.
new shades candyfloss rouge blush ($51, dior.com) is also a winner for me. This has a powder overlay embossed with Dior logo lettering, but underneath is a soft peach color. Where I applied it on my cheeks, there was a bit more shine due to the overspray, but the actual powder underneath still had small flecks of glitter all over it. On my cheeks, it looks more satin/matte than shimmer, but the shimmer is very subtle and noticeable. I’m really happy to see this on my skin!
forever skin bronze
of dior forever skin bronze bronze balm stick ($52 each, dior, sephora, nordstrom, Ulta) Probably the best bronzing stick I’ve tried. I feel like the warmth of these makes them more wearable for my skin tone. I usually wear Shade 03 Light Medium, but right now I have a winter skin tone. Shade 04 presents itself well with a more bronzed look.
of forever skin bronzer It is more transparent than dior contour stick So you can easily blend it to achieve a natural look. I think the color is also much easier to use than the contour stick. Fun packaging with textured tubes.
Below I am wearing shade 4 Bronze Stick and Sugar Crushed Lip
sugar crush lips
The pale, shimmering champagne called “Listen” comes in two lip colors. sugar crush in dior addict formula ($48, dior.com) and addict lip maximizer ($42, dior.com). I love a good shine, but I think these are a pass because of the sheer finish. The shine is noticeable, but a little too subtle for my liking.
This concludes my Dior spring shopping spree. I think this is the best spring release so far this year.
