Chanel Summer 2024 Collection – The Beauty Look Book

Chanel Beauty has added some fun and colorful new products to their Summer 2024 collection, I popped into my local Chanel Beauty boutique a few weeks ago to check them all out and had fun trying them all out, I’ve purchased a few items and I love them all.

The overall collection is quite different from what Chanel has been doing lately and I really like it. It has created some really beautiful multi-dimensional colours for the eyes and cheeks. It would have been nice if they had also released new coordinating lip colours, but it seems like the new colours for the eyes, cheeks and nails are the main focus of this launch.

Jardin Imaginaire Blush & Highlighter Duo

The star of this launch is Blush and highlighter duo ($75 each). They look so much better on the skin than they do in the compact. These have the same texture as the 2021 duo. There’s a soft, satiny matte side and a silky highlighter.

Chanel Jardin Imaginaire Blush & Highlighter Duo Gold Peach & Light Berry Swatch

Gold and Peach It’s a combination of a soft terracotta peach (sheer but buildable) and a beautiful pale yellow gold (super smooth finish). I’m not usually a fan of yellow gold highlighters, so I was surprised by this combination, but it’s really pretty when layered with the peach. Gold and Peachand wear again Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation In BD41, Natasha Denona Bronze Eyeshadow Palette, Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Fritti Coral.

Light & Berry This was another surprise. At first glance, I knew it was a color I’d never wear. The mauve fuchsia blush looks very vibrant when applied with a thick brush, but is less pigmented and blends better on the face. The opal pink highlighter is more of a lavender color and gives off a really pretty glow. I love wearing it on my cheeks and eyes. The photo below shows it in use. Light & Berry On the cheek, Stylo Ombre et Contour Celestial Pink, Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Eyeliner In black, Baum Essential Sintillment On the lips.

New colors for Baum Essentiel

Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick Moonlight Kiss, Solar Glow, Scintillation

Two new Baum Essential Multi-Use Glow Stick ($48) These are from the Summer 2024 collection and newer items released separately. Photos don’t do it justice, so if you want to see them in person, Here’s a video comparing all three.

In the summer of 2024 Moonlight Kiss Soft champagne gold with a hint of peach Sunshine A bronze copper glow. True to the Chanel Baume Essentiel standard, it’s radiant, soft, and beautifully shiny. In the Florida heat and humidity, it’s really impossible to wear on the cheeks, but I know a lot of people are big fans of the dewy glow. I really love it in cooler weather and on the lips.

Chanel adds new colors Sparkle It’s very similar to Mermaid Glow Spring 2024. I’ve had a lot of feedback from people saying they heard Scintillment was a rebranded version of Mermaid Glow that’s now permanent. I swatched them side by side in store by SAS and I wish I’d taken a photo because there was a clear difference in the store, but maybe it was the lighting. I took them both out at home and swatched them and couldn’t see any difference at all. There is a slight difference in the base, but the glow and effect seem to be the same.

Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Scintillation vs Mermaid Glow

I think they’re both great, and I’m amazed that Chanel was able to make something that was shimmery but not grainy. I wish the shimmer was more noticeable on the skin, but I think they’re beautiful.

Stylo Ombre et Contour

Chanel Stylo Ombre et Contour Celestial Pink Swatch

Lots of new fun colors available Stylo Ombre et Contour ($38). I have a few of these and I like the darker shades as eyeliner and the matte shades to wear all over the lid. I ended up not using the lighter shades as they were a bit sheer. Celestial Pink It’s a shimmery pink with purple and pink shimmer. It’s not too noticeable on the lid as it matches my skin tone really well, but when layered with a powder shadow it transforms into a brighter iridescent shimmer. I 100% love it, although I do wish it was in powder form as I really love Chanel’s new powder shadow singles.

I loved it too Ataya and Ecorse It was on display in the store, but I decided to think about it for a while.

Summer Le Vernis

Chanel Le Vernis Songe d'Ete (opal pink shimmer) and Fawn (beautiful cream brown)

Three new Le Verny ($32) shades. All three are absolutely stunning. I bought two. Songju Dete (Opal pink glow) and Faun (A beautiful cream brown). I don’t really like green, so I passed on the green Revue, but when the SA tried it in the store, it was breathtaking. I applied both colors I purchased in two coats.

Overall, it’s quite different from Chanel’s usual stuff, but I love what they’ve created. The Summer 2024 collection is fresh, unique and fun. Even if I don’t use the baum on my cheeks (it’s lovely on the lips), I’m 100% happy that I splurged.
