Chanel Makeup Takeaways: The Nature Getaway

Chanel is Chanel makeup tipsThe sets were created by two makeup artists, Cécile Paravina and Valentina Lee, in collaboration with the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio. Each fun, edgy set is packaged in a collector’s box and comes with a pouch.

I picked it up Vacation in nature ($195) features pink and coral hues. City Breaks ($190). Today we’ll be looking at the peach set.

My favorite in this set is Rouge Coco Flash in BissuIt’s a sheer but bright coral with a slight pink tint. I love the color and the finish. The pigmentation of this formula, which tends to be sheer, is pretty good. I wish this was part of a permanent line. It’s fresh and bright, but not too bright.

The set comes with two eye care products, which I wasn’t expecting to like as I’m not one to use colorful eyeliners. Chanel liner in HeartbeatI tried it on its own and immediately felt the need to layer it with my usual brown/black eyeshadow liner. I’ve added a swatch but haven’t used it in the photos below. It’s a fun and unusual color but it just doesn’t suit me. I wish this shade was available in gloss format or as a nail color.

Ombre Essentialse in Rose in hand It has a peachy coral base with flecks of multi-coloured shimmery glitter. If you apply it with a fluffy brush, it will be a softer peachy colour. I applied it with a dense brush over a primer, which absorbs more of the pigment and gives it a deeper peachy orange finish. When applied on the eyelids, the glitter is visible but not too sparkly. I think this would make a pretty blush colour too.

new Baum Essentiel In a set called morning dewIn the tube it looks coral peach pink but on my skin it has a pale pink sheen to it, almost transparent. It’s very transparent and has a similar effect to other Baume Essentiels sticks so I don’t think it’s a must have but it looks very pretty on the lips.
