Chanel is JOUESS Contrast Intense Cream to Powder Blush ($52, chanel.com) It comes in 5 shades and the formula is amazing. I bought it at a local beauty boutique and fell in love with the soft, cushiony texture. It’s a powdery soft cream that dries quickly. In a world where dewy blushes are all the rage, it’s hard to find a cream formula that dries quickly with a satin finish, but Chanel’s new blushes are exactly what I was looking for. They have a subtle blur effect and I love the classic shades.
Even though it has the word “intense” in the name, they’re not actually that intense – you can build up the colors, but three are more natural and two are bold, bright shades that are intense, but very easy to blend.
The staying power is pretty good, but I don’t think it will last the full 12 hours. For me, that’s 100% fine. The lightest beige shade seemed to fade the quickest on me, but it is closer to my skin tone. I didn’t test each shade for lasting all day, but the other two that I tested over a longer period of time kept the fresh look for about 4-5 hours.
These are more on the soft matte side but have a glossy shine without being shimmery.
- Beige Eclat To me it’s a soft beige color, which is barely visible in the photo but in real life it gives a really pretty soft glow.
- Rose Radiant A soft and warm rose
- Rose Ardent It’s a cooler shade of pink.
- Rouge Franc Bold hot warm red
- Grenat Profon It’s a berry
Below I’ve paired each shade with different lip colors, and also used:

I tried it with Chanel brushes and usually I am not so picky about which brush to use because Chanel brushes are so multi-functional and versatile. I really liked the small dome shaped brush. Precision Powder Brush N 107 Perfect for these. The size and shape are perfect. They all work well but I love the shape of this formula.

The bottom line is love. Find it now. chanel.com.
