It’s been a long time! What a month it has been! I had been meaning to write a little life update here to check in and say hello, but things have been chaotic the past few weeks. As many of you know, I live in St. Pete (Tampa Bay area) and we just experienced two hurricanes in a row. I’ve been active in sharing life updates on social, but I haven’t had the chance to share much here on the blog. Here is a quick review of Chanel Beauty. They are 2024 Holiday Collection and part 1 their holiday gift sets. There are currently 6 sets of beautiful and fluffy zippered bags online. There are two bag sizes this year, the standard size we’ve seen over the years, and an even larger size (which is so much fun!).
I picked up 1 set Maximum Brilliance Lip Gloss Trio Because the other products I’m eyeing don’t come out until November 4th ($128) (I’ll pick them up the day they go on sale).
This year the box is gold and white and the bag has the cutest snowflake detail on the zipper. I’m not sure about the packaging for online orders, but if you’re buying in-store, there are two options for gift wrapping charms. I chose a very cute snowflake.
These gift sets contain full-sized items, and while there is usually no discount for purchasing the set, they are beautifully packaged, and while the products can be purchased individually, they are full-sized, high-quality It’s really nice to know that you can get an item.
maximum shine Rouge Coco Gloss comes in three colors: Icing (sheer milky white pink), Bourjoise (classic mauve with shimmer), and Melted Honey (shimmer gold shimmer). All three are super shiny and have a thick texture. It is moisturizing and gives off a beautiful shine.

Let’s take a quick look at what’s currently on sale online. There are many other fragrance sets and bundles available, but these are the ones that come with a beautiful gift bag.

Latest updates on life: A lot happened last month! There were two hurricanes in quick succession. I also went on a weekend trip to New York just before Hurricane Milton and came back just in time to prepare my home for the hurricane and pack as much evacuation stuff as I could. We have lived in Florida for eight years and this is the first time a mandatory evacuation order has been issued for our neighborhood. Andrew booked us an Airbnb to Miami for a few weeks, knowing that even if the hurricane didn’t hit Tampa, it would be devastating enough in size and intensity. That means you’ll likely be without power for several weeks, if not the entire month. Water is likely to be cut off for several days in many counties as the area is hit by storms.
We packed everything we could into the car with our fur baby and headed to Miami Beach. It took us 8 hours to drive from Tampa to South Beach (usually takes up to 4 hours) due to heavy traffic. We made the most of our two weeks of sheltering in place, exploring a lot, eating to our hearts’ content at all of our favorite spots, trying out some new places, and celebrating our 23rd anniversary together (we’ve been dating for 7 years). We have been married for 16 years). We checked the news daily for updates on our neighborhood and home. Our neighbors had also evacuated and were not home to report on the situation at our house. Due to the power outage, it was not possible to check the house’s cameras to see if it survived.
As soon as we received word that electricity and water had been restored, we headed home. We are 100% okay inside our house and we are so grateful that there was no flooding or damage to our actual house. Many trees had broken branches or were completely blown away from their roots. Many houses were damaged inside and out, but we were very lucky. The backyard and fence need a lot of work and repairs, but the damage is minimal and everything is repairable.
I would like to resume regular posting from this week! I’ve done a lot of work on reviews and swatches. We’ll also send you some Sephora sale guides and holiday gift guides. While I was away, she worked behind the scenes! However, I didn’t have a chance to edit everything and share it all together.
I hope everyone is doing well and having a great October. Our situation was certainly chaotic, but we got through it and I’m glad to be back!
