On top of that: mirror, Agate Tray, Marble tray, Earrings

Right now I have a lot of favorite perfumes. I love wearing summer scents the most and I’m lucky enough to live in Florida where it’s summer all year round.

I’ve tried quite a lot of new brands and scents this year through samples, including Parfums de Marly, Kilian, Ex Nihilio, Giardini di Toscana, Valentino, etc. After watching some fragrance YouTubers, I wanted to try more and more and I got hooked. There are so many options out there and I have to say that finding a few experts with similar tastes is really helpful in navigating the perfume world.

There are so many great options for every mood, but most of the items on my current list are still some of my favorites. I’ve split my favorites by type, and at the end, I’ll also rank my top 5 most worn items.

The best scents in a bottle perfect for the holidays

Creed Virgin Island Water

Creed Virgin Island Water

Creed Virgin Island Water ($345-$470, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue) remains at the top of my list as the ultimate tropical scent. It’s hard to beat. It’s the perfect combination of freshness, tropical fruit and coconut. It’s well-balanced, unique and luxurious. Refillable atomizer Highly recommended, very beautiful and can be refilled with any scent.

Notes: Lime, bergamot, tropical fruits, coconut milk, coconut water, jasmine, white flowers, tonka bean, white musk

Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc

Best Tom Ford Perfumes for Summer Soleil Blanc, Eau de Soleil Blanc, White Suede

Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc ($155 to $235 Nordstrom, Sephora, Ulta Beauty) is always at the top of my list too. I love this and the original Soleil BlancIt’s fresh and has a beautiful coco de mer and coconut scent. I know some people don’t like the lighter version of Eau de Soleil Blanc and prefer just the original Soleil Blanc. They both suit my skin very well but my current favourite is definitely the lighter and fresher one.

Eau de Soleil Blanc Notes: Coco de Mer, Ylang-ylang from Comoa Island, Bergamot Flower

Killian Sunkissed Goddess

Kilian Sunkissed Goddess + Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc

Notes: Ylang-ylang essence, tiare flower, coconut

Killian Sunkissed Goddess ($295, Nordstrom, Sephora, Saks Fifth Avenue) in the spring and it was 100% worth the splurge. It’s been a few years since I last tried a Kilian perfume. I bought a sample set and they are all so unique and different from other brands. There are so many great scents but they just didn’t suit my personality. I might try them again later this year. I am in love with Sunkissed Goddess. It smells like vacation in a bottle and has a similar vibe to Tom Ford, but Kilian is more floral.

Vacation Co., Ltd.

Vacation Ink Eau de Toilette

Notes: Petitgrain essence, coconut water, coconut milk, bergamot, solar musk, banana, pineapple, pool water, swimsuit lycra, sea salt

Vacation Ink Eau de Toilette (60 dollars, Nordstrom, Ulta Beauty and, Value Set in Nordstrom) is the ultimate summer pool scent. I’m not sure if everyone will like it, but it really does smell like summer. It has a summer sunscreen vibe to it, which is very unique and fun.

Fresh and fruity

Parfum de Marly Meliora

Parfum de Marly Meliora

On top of that: Brass mirror, Hoop Earrings, Knotted BraceletNail Color Premier Dam

Notes: Red berries, raspberries, lemon essence, rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine tea, vanilla, musk, cedarwood

Parfum de Marly Meliora ($375, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus) is my first perfume from Parfums de Marly. I finally tried the line with a sample set this year and I am totally hooked. It’s definitely in my top 3 favorites out of all fragrance brands. I have many perfumes on my wishlist from the mini samples I’ve collected from several orders so far. My first pick was Meliora, which is completely different from what I normally wear. I’m not a big fan of fruity and sweet scents but this is absolutely beautiful.

Dioriviera

Dior La Collection Privee Dioriviera

Notes: Roses and figs

Dioriviera Eau de Parfum ($150 to $450, Dior Beauty) remains my favorite. I’ve talked about fig scents before, I love them in candle form but it’s hard to find the right blend to wear. Dioriviera is the best because it has a floral rose scent mixed in. It’s so strong, fresh, crisp and warm at the same time. It’s so unique and makes me feel like I’m on a fancy vacation. Selected scents from the La Collection Privee line are also now available. Travel Splate Rio.

Pururu’s father figure

Fru Father Figure Perfume

Notes: Water lily, fresh fig, blackcurrant buds, orris root, iris flower, jasmine dew, skin musk, Madagascar vanilla, patchouli leaf, sandalwood

Pururu’s father figure ($99 at Sephora, Travel Size The $29 “Sweet Palette” is also a beautiful fig scent. I think it can be used by both men and women. It’s a beautiful mix of fresh fig and woody scents. I don’t know if many people would call it a summer scent, but I think it can be used all year round.

Citrus Lover Fragrance

I love the crisp, clean feeling that citrus scents give me and I absolutely adore this scent, these are my favourite scents as they smell fresh without being too soapy (makes sense?).

Celine Parade

celine parade perfume

Notes: Bergamot, Neroli, Vetiver, Musk, Oakmoss

Celine Parade is my most loved fragrance. Sometimes you need to take a break and change your mood. I think it’s underrated. It’s a fresh scent with strong notes of bergamot and vetiver. The addition of musk adds softness and the moss adds a bit of greenness. It has great staying power. This fragrance is a bit hard to find as it can only be found in Celine boutiques and online. Sampler Discovery Set and Miniature Discovery Set If you can’t go to a store and try it out,

Chanel Paris Biarritz

Chanel Les Hauts de Chanel Paris-Biarritz

On top of that: Gross 116, Hamptons straw hat, Straw Bag

Notes: Grapefruit, mandarin, lily of the valley, vetiver, white musk

Chanel Paris Biarritz Eau de Toilette ($113 to $150, Chanel) is my second most worn perfume and I’ve been using it for years now. I love this soft citrus scent. It’s a light scent so if you want a stronger scent it’s probably too light for you.

Chanel Paris Riviera

Chanel Les Hauts de Chanel Paris Riviera

Notes: Sicilian orange, petitgrain, jasmine, neroli, sandalwood, musk

Chanel Paris Riviera Eau de Toilette It’s a slightly stronger and sharper variation of Paris-Biarritz. It’s more citrusy and refreshing. This is another wine I love.

Fresh and timeless

Parfum de Marly Valaya

Parfum de Marly Valaya

Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, White Peach, Orange Flower, Nymphal, Vetiver, Akigalawood, Ambrofix, Musk

Parfum de Marly Valaya ($220-$375) is a perfume I recently discovered and am completely obsessed with. I know musk is a love it or hate it scent, but I love the classic clean fresh scent of this perfume. The mix of bergamot and vetiver adds a freshness to it. It’s quite pricey, but I also bought the smaller size. I still have some travel plans, so I decided to take the smaller size with me.

Creed Aventus for Her

Creed Aventus for Her

Notes: Egyptian green apple, pink berries, Indonesian patchouli, Italian bergamot, Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose, Indian sandalwood, snowbell, musk, sweet peach, blackcurrant, lilac, amber, ylang-ylang

Creed’s Aventus for Her ($300 to $445, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saxophone) is a classic and timeless scent. It’s floral, green and fruity. The apple gives it a unique fresh twist and the rose adds a feminine touch. 3-piece travel set and 5 Piece Travel Discovery Set.

Chanel No.5 Low

Chanel No.5 Low Drop Fragrance Beauty Lookbook

Notes: Lemon, mandarin, orange, rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, vetiver, cedar, musk

Chanel No.5 Low ($155, chanel.com) is not a new scent, but Chanel released it in the form of drops in limited edition packaging. It’s beautiful and refreshing. It’s clean, sharp and very strong.

Pururu missing person

Fleur Missing Person's Perfume

Notes: Skin Musk, Bergamot Nectar, Sheer Jasmine, Fresh Cyclamen, Neroli Flower, Orange Blossom, Sandalwood Australian Oil, Blonde Wood, White Musk

Pururu missing person ($99) Sephora) is not a summer scent, but it is a timeless scent that I think can be used all year round. I love how warm and inviting it feels. It feels similar to skin, but better. I also have the body oil and hand cream. Definitely recommend.

Byredo Mojave Ghost

Byredo Mojave Ghost review (The Beauty Lookbook)

On top of that: Hoop Earrings, Brush, Marble Coaster

Notes: Ambrette, Jamaican Nesberry, Violet, Sandalwood, Magnolia, Chantilly Musk, Crisp Amber, Cedarwood

I neglected Byredo this summer, Mojave Ghost ($225 to $320) I bought this again and I love it. This is another sweet, clean scent. Very unique and distinctive. It’s soft but has a bit of a sharpness to it, which makes it feel refreshing. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should give it a try. Discovery SetThey recently Mojave Ghost Alcohol-Free Version In a large size. I haven’t tried it yet, but it will be interesting to smell it!

Top 5 scents I’ve loved the most this summer: Parfums de Marly Valaya, Creed Virgin Island Water, Chanel Paris Biarritz, Kilian Sunkist Goddess, Celine Parade.

What’s your favorite scent this summer? How many perfumes have you added to your collection this year?
