His techniques include exploring materials and surfaces, drawing and painting for digital prints, and creating hand-embroidered and knit/crocheted samples. “In this process, I rely heavily on technology, taking photos of surface treatments and virtually manipulating the color, saturation and hue, creating mock-ups of how these materials will look on the body,” he explains. He always uses his phone during the fitting stage, taking photos of muslin and garment prototypes on fit models and digitally drawing on them. The Galaxy AI doesn’t replace his imagination or erase the role of manual labor, but it does make it easier to realize the ideas in his head.
