Happy new year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! This year has been a year of big changes and transitions for me, so I’ve been MIA with blogging this past year. Back in the spring, Andrew and I finally moved to the city of our dreams. I’m so excited to have found a place that truly feels like home. If you’ve been following me for a long time, you know that we’ve moved a lot since 2017. For me, there was no place I would want to stay for a long time. Moving to Miami Beach was one of the best things we’ve ever done and we’re so happy to be here.

I would like to restart my blog this year. As I shifted my focus to Instagram for my social media content, I neglected my blog. Many of you have asked if I’ll be blogging more since you seem to be enjoying reading the detailed reviews, but I’m trying to declutter so I can focus more on this blog, which I love the most.

Here’s what I liked most about 2025. Many of these are things I have put into practice and will carry with me all the way into the new year.

base makeup favorites

Best Foundations of 2025 Chanel, Dior, Armani, Saiet

There are tons of new foundations and concealers released every year, but my favorites are ones I’ve tried over the years.

Dior Forever Skin Perfect Foundation Stick – This is the foundation I used the most this year. I alternate between 2.5N and 3N. I love everything about it: coverage, color, finish, blendability, and staying power.

armani luminous silk foundation – This was my second most used foundation. Armani has recently reimagined a classic. I’ve been testing the new one for a few weeks and will be reviewing it soon, but so far it seems to be just as good as the original. I chose my usual shade 6.5 with the new formula and it worked well for me. Some shades have changed (we recommend using the shade chart to see the shades).

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation – This is an all-time favorite. It’s a classic that I love for its shade range, undertones, and formula.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder – I have always been a pressed powder person, but this year I started using loose powder and I find that it lasts much better when I use the puff. I love all of Laura Mercier’s loose powders. I alternate between using her original Translucent Loose and Rose Ultra Blur which gets the most compliments.

Saie Glowy Super Gel – My skin has been experiencing changes over the past year and a half. As I’ve gotten older, my skin has become drier and suddenly my skin feels greasy when I apply a lot of foundation. Mixing this dewy gel with your foundation will help you a lot! I love the rose glow shade.

cheeks

Best Blushes and Highlighters of 2025, YSL, Lorde, Armani, Chanel

Armani Luminous Silk Liquid Blush (Review + Sample here) – This is the best liquid cheek for the best wear time. I would also like to see more colors available! I tried both the matte and radiant finishes. I prefer the matte one a bit, but both are very good.

road pocket blush Freckles and Pig (Review + Sample) here) – It’s my favorite again this year! I love it for the convenience, pigment, and staying power. In search of the best everyday neutral shade, I brought Freckles with me on all my trips.

Hourglass ambient lighting editing palette (2025 Palette Review here) – I really like all of this year’s holiday palettes, including the repeat colors. The color range was perfect for me at 10/10. I love the fun designs that come out every year. I was really surprised that it sold out so quickly this year.

RMS Redimension Hydra Powder Blush Crystal Slipper – This was my most worn blush this year. This is one of the best everyday glowing neutral tan blushes I’ve tried.

Chanel Jeu de Lumiere Highlighter Quad (Review) here) – My favorite highlighter was from this amazing palette! I think this particular collection was my favorite all year.

YSL Make Me Blush (review here) – This was the best powder blush formula of the year. I think 44 Nude Lavalliere is the best color, but I also really like 23 Rose Haze. The formula is very smooth and silky. I love that it has matte and shimmer. More colors in 2026!

eye makeup

Natasha Denona I need a warm palette

This year I tried branching out into eye makeup, but nothing new really caught my eye.

Natasha Denona brought victory to the best of the best. of need a warm palette (Sample + Review here) is still my favorite, I really love her my dream palette Also (sample here).

Makeup by Mario Master Mats Original – No matter how many other matte neutral palettes are released, this one will remain my favorite. For some reason, this is also the palette I get the most compliments on.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Eyeliner – This is still my favorite eyeliner, but it needs to be set with a powder eyeshadow on top to make it last longer. Otherwise it will get dirty. I love the creamy formula and very rich pigment.

Tarte tube mascara XL – This is my most worn mascara formula this year. Will not stain or harden. Easily removed with warm water. I want my short and short eyelashes to be longer and out of all the formulas, this is the best one I’ve tried.

lip favorite

Best lip products 2025

Rouge Dior on Stage 120 Iconic Rose

I have a lot of favorite lipsticks this year!

Chanel Rouge Coco Baume Shine (review here) – Chanel released a shine version of Rouge Coco Baume this year, and I wish they would release it in more colors. I loved every shade in this formula, but the best color for me is Honey Bliss 752.

Chanel Le Crayon L’Evre Longwear Lip Pencil – Chanel lip liners are still my favorite, but products from Dior, Tom Ford, and Maybelline are close competitors. I think Chanel’s Nude Blanc and Rose Naturel shades are the best.

prada monochrome lipstick B101 at Tiepolo (in operation) here) – This is one of the shades you liked the most on me. I love Prada’s matte lipsticks and I think this is one of my favorites too.

dior lip glow balm – This has been formulated again, and I still don’t really understand why they keep changing this, but I think this latest formula is the best one yet. It’s not as waxy as the previous version and is certainly more moisturizing. My favorite shade is 077 Candy, which transitions to a warm pink but not too much.

dior rouge dior on stage lipstick (review here) – I really love this formula and the slim, sleek design of this lipstick. Iconic Rose is the best shade and is absolute perfection, so I really wish they would add more light neutral or peach tones to this formula.

dior addict lip maximizer – This is still my favorite lip gloss. It’s a plumping gloss but not too plump and I really liked that it didn’t have any stinging or stinging sensation.

tom ford lip color (Review + Sample here) – A part of me really misses the old Tom Ford Beauty days. I feel like innovation isn’t what it used to be, but I really liked the new formulas of lip colors a few years ago, and I used Spanish pink a lot last year.

maybelline lifter gloss – This is the best budget-friendly gloss. I loved all the colors I tried. Gummy bears are the best baby pink. I also love the shimmers and pigmented shades.

nail

The two nail colors I got the most compliments on this year were quick-drying formulas. Olive and June quick dry It seems like the sheer pink color that I always loved was discontinued, so it was my favorite puffball.

OPI RapiDry Quick Dry from Stunn n Done This is the nail color that received the most questions. I also love the color and quick-drying formula.

What I’m wearing is essie speed setter I use it as a top coat, but I’m currently testing out some other formulas to see if there’s anything that lasts longer.
I feel like I haven’t used much concealer or bronzer this year. I wore them from time to time, but they didn’t seem to be part of my everyday life.

These are my favorite makeup looks of this year! I’d love to hear about you in the comments!
